A wax warmer is a device used to melt scented wax, releasing its fragrance into the air. It typically works by heating the wax using an electric heat source or a tea light candle placed underneath a melting dish that holds the wax.

While not designed for this purpose, one could potentially place a heat-safe container with wax on top of a wood-burning stove to melt the wax and release its scent, or better still, grab one of our purpose built Cast Iron Wax Warmers. Caution should be exercised to avoid overheating or fire hazards.

No, its not recommended to leave any type of warmer that involves heat, including iron-based or electric warmers, unattended due to the risk of fire or burns. Always monitor active warmers and follow safety instructions.

Once the wax has cooled and solidified, you can either gently heat the bottom of the melting dish so that the whole piece loosens up for removal or use tools like cotton balls or paper towels to absorb melted but non-hot wax. Some people also put their warming dish in the freezer for some time; once frozen, the wax often pops out easily.

Not all waxes are compatible with every type of warmer. Be sure to check manufacturer recommendations as some warmers are specifically designed for certain types of waxes (like soy-based or paraffin). Using inappropriate types may result in uneven melting and poor scent distribution or might damage your warmer.
